Acro
Why is Acro important to my Dance journey?

Strength
Acro classes train strength that dancers need in all core classes. In acro students work on their core strength for balance, hip and leg strength for push and turn out, and upper body strength for alignment and holds. All of these strength skills are crucial to being successful in dance, as all movement requires a high degree of strength and endurance to execute fully.
Flexibility
Flexibility is extremely important in dance. In order to execute intermediate to advanced jumps, turns, holds, and overall technical skills, a high degree of flexibility is necessary which can only be achieved through consistent stretching and working of the muscles. Acrobatics is focused on flexibility in order to maintain and learn new tricks, students that take acro see a higher degree of flexibility in their technique in their every day classes and find more success in learning new skills.
